Can I remove a background for free?
You can upload and inspect your original photo for free. AI background removal requires sign-in and one available credit.
What counts as one credit?
One credit is charged only after one full-resolution background removal succeeds. Failed processing should not consume a credit.
Which images work best?
Use a clear, well-lit photo where the subject is visually different from the background. JPG, PNG, and WebP are supported up to 5 MB, 16 MP, and 4096 pixels per side.
Are my photos stored?
Free previews are processed in your browser. Paid AI processing sends the image temporarily to the configured processor and Mattezy does not intentionally retain the uploaded file.
Can I cancel a subscription?
Yes. Creator and Pro renew monthly and can be cancelled before the next billing date.
